Application illustration: shelf strips and shelf talkers
Print Store illustration. This is a separate design, not a Xeikon print sample.

Format and application

A shelf strip is a flat, single-sided, usually full-color piece attached directly to a shelf.

Application Guide Graphic Arts 2020-ENG, p. 10

Runs and personalization

Strips are usually produced as separate cut pieces, though the guide also allows roll production. Short runs and campaign variants for a store or region support more flexible shelf presentation.

Where digital printing helps

Growing demand for promotion and differentiation, digital color print quality and short production times make these promotional products more accessible to produce.

Production capabilities

For Xeikon, the guide cites efficient imposition and reduced waste through roll-fed production, offset quality, a fifth color station for brand colors and good deinkability for recycling.
