XEIKON / Graphic Arts 2020
Banners, posters and advertising displays
What format does your campaign need: a poster, display sign or extra-wide banner? The Xeikon guide compares production routes for different sizes and shows how digital printing can support short, localised runs.

Purpose and audience
Banners are display graphics used for information and advertising. They are usually printed in full colour, on one or both sides; substrate, format, print quality and finishing are chosen for the location and purpose.

Choosing a production route
For formats up to A3, the guide identifies toner-based sheetfed printing as a fast, economical option. It points to wide-format inkjet printers for extra-wide banners, and calls B2 digital sheet printing an economical alternative for medium-sized posters.

Where digital printing helps
Short runs, campaigns for individual stores or regions, and fast turnaround make one-off marketing posters and signs more accessible. Xeikon cites unlimited print length, duplex-offset quality at high speed, and good de-inkability for recycling.

Production configuration in the example
The example table lists a Xeikon X-800 workflow, Verso 80# coated cover stock, Cheetah toner and a Xeikon CX500. The page does not associate the CX500 with B2 sheet format.
